Austin Wiegandt Game Report: vs Mater Academy Charter

On Friday Austin Wiegandt didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. The effort marked the fewest hits Wiegandt has had since back in May of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his sixth in a row with less than one walk. This season, he has an ERA of 2.28 over 43 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Wiegandt and Westminster Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome Hialeah Educational Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Biggie thanks in part to Wiegandt: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI.
