Softball Game Preview: Thomas A. Edison Owls vs. Roxborough Wolves

The Thomas A. Edison Owls will take on the Roxborough Wolves at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Roxborough will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Thomas A. Edison extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Owls blew past Simon Gratz 17-4.

Marisol Valencia was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Anaiyha Almodovar, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Thomas A. Edison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 14 hits in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Roxborough, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out First Philadelphia Prep 10-9 on Friday.

Roxborough now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Thomas A. Edison, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
