Basketball Game Preview: Desert Ridge Jaguars vs. Gilbert Tigers

Desert Ridge is 1-9 against Gilbert since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Desert Ridge Jaguars face off against the Gilbert Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Desert Ridge is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a hard 76-60 fall against Queen Creek.

Meanwhile, Gilbert had to suffer through a 72-39 loss at the hands of Highland. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Desert Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Gilbert, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 7-11.

Desert Ridge didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Gilbert in their previous meeting on January 10th, but they still walked away with a 56-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Desert Ridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
