Softball Recap: Dansville Comes Up Short

Haverling hit Dansville with a 13-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs lost 16-1 to the Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 back in April.

Dansville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briley Wood, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Dansville's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Haverling, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dansville is set to square off against their familiar foe Wayland-Cohocton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Haverling will challenge rival Hornell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
