While Plainwell's win against South Haven wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Rams on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won five contests in a row.

Luke Filkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Andrew Hampton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Plainwell is 8-2 when Hampton posts two or more runs, but 11-12-1 otherwise.

Plainwell's record is now 19-14-1. As for South Haven, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-10-1.
