Volleyball Recap: Chagrin Falls' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chagrin Falls waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hathaway Brown Blazers by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chagrin Falls had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 27-25, 25-21, 25-19.

Gigi Calabrese paced Chagrin Falls' offense, picking up 21 kills. Calabrese got some help from Brooke Babic and her 17 assists. Calabrese was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Chagrin Falls' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hathaway Brown, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Chagrin Falls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Orange on the 6th. As for Hathaway Brown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Lutheran East on the 4th.
