Softball Recap: Waller Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Waller proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 16) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cypress Ranch Mustangs 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Mustangs on April 2nd, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

The win (which was Waller's third in a row) raised their record to 17-11. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cypress Ranch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-10-1 record this season.

Waller will square off against Tomball at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. Cypress Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
