Softball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Gets the Win

Mt. Pleasant won the last time they faced Ringgold and things went their way on Friday too. Mt. Pleasant walked away with a 9-4 win over Ringgold. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Gigi Stanek 2025 was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Stanek 2025 was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gracie Etling 2026, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. Kendra Brunson 2027 was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Mt. Pleasant's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ringgold, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant will challenge Greensburg Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ringgold, they will square off against Albert Gallatin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
