Basketball Game Preview: Vega Longhorns vs. Sunray Bobcats

The Vega Longhorns will head out on the road to face off against the Sunray Bobcats at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Sunray took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Vega, who comes in off a win.

Vega will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Sanford-Fritch, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Vega came out on top against Sanford-Fritch by a score of 44-37 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Sunray took a blow against Stratford on Friday, falling 65-38. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Elks recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Vega's win bumped their record up to 5-22. As for Sunray, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Vega was able to grind out a solid victory over Sunray in their previous meeting back in January, winning 39-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vega since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
