For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Oakridge and Oakland meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Oakers by a score of 11-10. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Jonathan Miller was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with five RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, Cole Walters was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Oakridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Oakland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
