Softball Recap: Roby Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Roby faced off against Hermleigh on Tuesday. The Lions lost 13-3 to the Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Friday.

Roby saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariela Castaneda, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Castaneda's first of the season. Another was Abigail Carlile, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

Roby's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hermleigh, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

Roby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hermleigh, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hawley at 4:00 p.m.
