Central Woodstock will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Skyline, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Central Woodstock walked away with a 13-10 win over Skyline on Wednesday. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Central Woodstock got a massive performance out of Cullen Stanley, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave Stanley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Bushong, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Stanley wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Central Woodstock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyline only managed ten hits.

Meanwhile, Clarke County had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Rappahannock County with a sharp 13-6 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with Rappahannock County: they've now won three in a row.

The victory got Central Woodstock back to even at 2-2. As for Clarke County, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
