Recap: Lisbon Broncos vs. Valley City Hi-Liners
The Lisbon Broncos lost against the Valley City Hi-Liners back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lisbon was outmatched by Valley City on the road and fell 57-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lisbon has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Lisbon still got an impressive performance from Kyra Haecherl, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarynn Gilbert, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Lisbon and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Valley City, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lisbon will take on Hazen at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Hazen is ranked 68th, while Lisbon is ranked 72nd). As for Valley City, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Central Cass at 7:15 p.m. on January 8th. Central Cass is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
