Baseball Recap: Canyon Springs Has No Trouble Against Pinecrest Academy Cadence

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cheyenne, Canyon Springs was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars. With that victory, the Pioneers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Cruz Monroy looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Chris Aguilar and Isaiah Rogers did most of the damage at the plate: Aguilar scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Rogers scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Aguilar also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aaron Moreno, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
