Baseball Game Preview: West Carroll Thunder vs. Galena Pirates

West Carroll is 1-9 against Galena since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Thunder will be playing at home against the Pirates at 4:30 p.m.

West Carroll is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to Galena.

West Carroll saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacen Anderson, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Anderson has hit this season.

The victory (which was Galena's fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for West Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
