Baseball Game Preview: Lone Star Rangers vs. Reedy Lions

The Lone Star Rangers will square off against the Reedy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lone Star is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Lone Star blew Reedy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Reedy got their revenge. Lone Star fell just short of Reedy by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rangers have suffered since February 27th.

Houston Farrar was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had over his last seven games.

Reedy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lone Star, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
