Softball Game Preview: Tehachapi Warriors vs. South Spartans

For the second straight game, Tehachapi will face off against South. The Warriors will welcome the Spartans at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Tehachapi is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Tehachapi came out on top against South on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fourth inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Spartans. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Kayden Grigsby, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidan McIrvin, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Tehachapi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The loss snapped South's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 19-9 record. As for Tehachapi, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
