Union City posted their closest win since May 14, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Watchung Hills Regional Warriors 7-5. This was payback for the Soaring Eagles, who suffered a 5-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Union City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Watchung Hills Regional, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Coming up, Union City will venture away from home to challenge Rutherford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Watchung Hills Regional, they will host Cranford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
