Baseball Recap: Lewiston Gets the Win

Lewiston had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Edward Little on Tuesday. The Blue Devils never let the Red Eddies get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 back in April.

The result came thanks to Spencer Chartier's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Michael Caron was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

The victory got Lewiston back to even at 8-8. As for Edward Little, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

As of now, neither Lewiston nor the Red Eddies have any future games scheduled.
