Basketball Game Preview: Castor Tigers vs. Quitman Wolverines

Castor and Quitman are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Castor Tigers will host the Quitman Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Castor played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They were the clear victor by a 52-28 margin over Doyline. That looming 52-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Meanwhile, Quitman was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Simsboro 44-11. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.

Quitman is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Castor, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11.
