Basketball Game Preview: Bunceton Dragons vs. St. Elizabeth Hornets

The Bunceton Dragons will square off against the St. Elizabeth Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Monday, Bunceton ended up a good deal behind Lincoln and lost 44-27. The matchup marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, St. Elizabeth had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 60-51 win over the Eagles. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Eagles are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Elizabeth pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Bunceton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
