Volleyball Game Preview: St. Michael the Archangel Guardians vs. Lee's Summit West Titans

The St. Michael the Archangel Guardians will head out to challenge the Lee's Summit West Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Michael the Archangel is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: Belton, who was ranked ninth at the time (St. Michael the Archangel was ranked seventh). St. Michael the Archangel blew past Belton 3-0 on Thursday. The game marked the Guardians' most dominant win of the season so far.

One reason for the win was St. Michael the Archangel's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Lee's Summit West beat Park Hill South 3-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 17-25, 25-15, 25-15.

St. Michael the Archangel's record is now 4-2. As for Lee's Summit West, their record now sits at 8-1.

St. Michael the Archangel came out on top in a nail-biter against Lee's Summit West in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will St. Michael the Archangel repeat their success, or does Lee's Summit West has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
