Basketball Recap: Maryknoll Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with University Laboratory School

On Thursday, Maryknoll faced University Laboratory School in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Maryknoll Spartans fell 56-48 to the University Laboratory School Junior Rainbows. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-39 two weeks ago.

Maryknoll's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for University Laboratory School, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Maryknoll wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-45 loss against St. Louis on the 25th. University Laboratory School has also already played their next match (against Mid-Pacific Institute), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
