The Goleman Gators and the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Goleman's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hialeah-Miami Lakes has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Goleman earned a 65-56 win over Mater Bay Academy. That's two games straight that the Gators have won by exactly nine points.

Meanwhile, Hialeah-Miami Lakes played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against iMater Charter, falling 86-58. Even if the Trojans couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Goleman, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything went Goleman's way against Hialeah-Miami Lakes when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Goleman made off with a 74-52 victory. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
