Basketball Game Preview: Oxford Hills Vikings vs. Edward Little Red Eddies

The Oxford Hills Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Edward Little Red Eddies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Oxford Hills took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They snuck past Windham with a 70-65 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Vikings' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Eagles are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Edward Little didn't have too much trouble with Mt. Ararat on Monday as they won 68-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Eddies.

Oxford Hills' record is now 9-7. As for Edward Little, their record now sits at 8-6.

Oxford Hills took a serious blow against Edward Little in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 61-30. Can Oxford Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
