The Richards Warriors and the Chicago Vocational Cavaliers will round out the year against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Wednesday, Richards came up short against Hansberry and fell 85-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (68), Richards still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Chicago Vocational's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 70-61 to Comer. The matchup was a 29-29 toss-up at halftime, but Chicago Vocational was outscored by Comer in the second.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ron Thigpen, who scored 26 points. The contest was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyree Jones, who scored 19 points.
Richards' defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Chicago Vocational, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
