Softball Preview: Wauseon Indians vs. Northwood Rangers

The Wauseon Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Northwood Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wauseon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Wauseon came up short against Wayne Trace and fell 9-4.

Wauseon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella McGuire, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Martinez, who scored a run while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-4 to Evergreen.

Wauseon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Northwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
