Preview: Cooper Bulldogs vs. Garrison Bulldogs
The Cooper Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Garrison Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cooper's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Cooper rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 69-28 win over the Dragons at home. Considering Cooper has won eight matches by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Canon Ingram continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 153 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 93 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Adryean Mapps also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Beckville typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday Garrison proved too difficult a challenge. Garrison enjoyed a cozy 42-28 win over Beckville. The win made it back-to-back wins for Garrison.
Garrison got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Javien Black out in front who rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also picked up 75 receiving yards. Black's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. Omarion Rasberry also helped out as he racked up 144 rushing yards.
Cooper pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Garrison, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
