After a string of five wins, Louisville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost to the Houston Hilltoppers on the road by a 59-42 margin. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hilltoppers earlier this season, when they won 65-52.

Houston was led to victory by Trinity Hamilton and Katie Jones. Hamilton posted 29 points, while Jones put up 20 points. Jones' evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Louisville's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Houston, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Louisville will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Greenwood at 5:00 p.m. As for Houston, they will venture away from home to square off against Caledonia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
