Basketball Recap: Edgerton Comes Up Short

If Edgerton was feeling good fresh off their 70-25 takedown of Madelia last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Edgerton Flying Dutchmen took a 51-35 bruising from the Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles on Thursday. The Flying Dutchmen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 56-54.

Edgerton's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Southwest Minnesota Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-8.

Edgerton has already played their next match, a 63-60 victory against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on the 17th. As for Southwest Minnesota Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-47 defeat against Westbrook-Walnut Grove on the 17th.
