Volleyball Recap: Alyssa Huyhn and Joy Tiet Secure Win for Rosemead

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Gabriel, Rosemead was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Mountain View Vikings 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

Rosemead wouldn't go down easily and took Mountain View into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-16, 25-18, 22-25, 15-8.

Rosemead was led to victory by Joy Tiet and Alyssa Huyhn. Tiet had 20 digs and two aces, while Huyhn had 26 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Huyhn has posted over her last three matchups.

Rosemead's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Mountain View, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-23.

Coincidentally, Rosemead and Mountain View will both be playing Arroyo the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Vikings will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
