Baseball Recap: Phoenixville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Norristown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Phoenixville). They never let the Norristown Eagles get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Wednesday. The Phantoms haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Phoenixville got a massive performance out of Kevin Kingsbury, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Kingsbury a new career-high. Bobby Gray was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Phoenixville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Phoenixville pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Norristown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
