Softball Game Preview: Bowsher BlueRacers vs. Rogers Rams

Bowsher is 2-8 against Rogers since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The BlueRacers will host the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Bowsher has given up an average of 14.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Bowsher came up short against Ottawa Hills and fell 21-17.

Alycia Ahmed stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Yirsi Verdin, who went 3-for-6 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Meanwhile, Rogers lost 14-4 to Lima Senior on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Da'Mya Boles was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Bowsher's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bowsher has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rogers struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
