Basketball Game Preview: Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Woodlawn Trailblazers

The Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders will square off against the Woodlawn Trailblazers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Cornerstone Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Woodlawn will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Cornerstone Christian Academy made off with a 31-30 win over Tabernacle Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Cornerstone Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Chloe Clanton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Cornerstone Christian Academy is undefeated when Clanton posts ten or more rebounds, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Adell Threats, who posted five points in addition to 12 boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Woodlawn was not able to break out of their rough patch on January 7th as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 51-20 loss at the hands of The Fletcher School.

Cornerstone Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Woodlawn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
