Baseball Recap: North Port Takes a Loss

North Port lost against Sarasota back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The North Port Bobcats lost 15-1 to the Sarasota Sailors. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Port saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelo Branscum, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Branscum also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

North Port now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Sarasota, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Port will square off against Booker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Booker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Sarasota, they will face off against Palmetto at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
