Soccer Game Preview: Druid Hills vs. Clarkston

The Druid Hills Red Devils will take on the Clarkston Angoras at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Druid Hills is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Druid Hills' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Douglas County with a sharp 7-0 victory. The Red Devils' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Clarkston was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Cross Keys could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Druid Hills' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. With that draw, Clarkston's record moves to 2-3-1.

Druid Hills took their victory against Clarkston in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Druid Hills repeat their success, or does Clarkston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
