Softball Recap: Vandalia Vandals vs. Shelbyville Rams
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenville, Vandalia was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Shelbyville Rams as they made off with a 17-9 victory. For the Vandals, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Elaina Hagy was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mady McCall, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
