Softball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Takes a Loss

Sunrise Mountain lost against Centennial last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs came up short against the Coyotes, falling 13-3. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sunrise Mountain saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chelsea Mcmanus, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Another was Anisa Garcia, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Sunrise Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sunrise Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe Lake Havasu at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Centennial will challenge rival Ironwood at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
