Soccer Recap: Caldwell Falls Short Against Ranked Rocky Mountain

Caldwell faced Rocky Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Cougars took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that Caldwell have lost by exactly two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Caldwell and nudges their season record down to 7-4-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Owyhee (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 85.5% over those games). As for Rocky Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Caldwell will face off against Kuna at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rocky Mountain, they will take on Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Owyhee will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Rocky Mountain surely won't give up without a fight.
