Baseball Game Preview: Troy Warriors vs. Carpinteria Warriors

Troy are taking a road trip to square off against Carpinteria at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Troy will be strutting in after a win while Carpinteria will be coming in after a loss.

Troy will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Miller on Thursday. Troy put the hurt on Miller with a sharp 13-4 victory. Considering the Warriors have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Carpinteria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Santa Maria.

Troy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. Carpinteria's loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
