Lafayette Christian Academy suffered their closest loss since April 13, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Kaplan Pirates by a score of 7-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 6-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lafayette Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Kaplan, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Lafayette Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 victory against Central on the 17th. As for Kaplan, they will challenge Erath at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Erath will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kaplan surely won't give up without a fight.
