Baseball Recap: Burns Flat-Dill City Takes a Loss

Burns Flat-Dill City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 13-7 to the Merritt Oilers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oilers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Burns Flat-Dill City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Merritt, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burns Flat-Dill City will take on Carnegie at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Merritt, they will head out to face off against Lookeba-Sickles at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Oilers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
