Volleyball Recap: Wheeling Comes Up Short

Wheeling lost against Mundelein back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Mustangs.

While Wheeling was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 28-26.

Mundelein's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Allison Tableman, who had seven assists and three aces. Tableman is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Wheeling's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Mundelein, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Wheeling wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Conant on the 25th. As for Mundelein, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Libertyville on the 24th.
