Baseball Recap: Granite Hills Takes a Loss

Granite Hills had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 7-16 to make it six. They fell just short of the Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears by a score of 4-2. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Granite Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhyan Vinson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-9-1 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 10, 2024.

On Summit Charter Collegiate Academy's side, Valentin Sierra was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mason Maddox, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Granite Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-0 defeat against Lindsay on the 8th. As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against Orosi on the 8th.
