Softball Recap: Stover Comes Up Short

If Stover was riding high fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Conway last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 15-3 to the Adrian Blackhawks on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Stover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Hodges, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Stover's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Adrian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Coming up, Stover will host Bunceton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Adrian, they will take on El Dorado Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
