Brewbaker Tech barely beat Reeltown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams blew past the Rebels 9-1 on Friday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.
Ericianna Ellis was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Heleyna Pennic was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ariyana Simon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Brewbaker Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 7-1-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
The victory (which was Brewbaker Tech's third in a row) raised their record to 15-15-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Reeltown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.
Coincidentally, Brewbaker Tech and Reeltown will both be playing Elmore County the next time they take the field. The Rebels will head out to face the Panthers at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
