Softball Recap: Ashford Takes a Loss

Ashford fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Dale County on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-5. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Ashford now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Dale County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ashford and Dale County will both be playing Geneva the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
