Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Takes a Loss

Temple Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Shelton Chargers and fell 85-41. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Miles Page and Cadent McGraw certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Page went 9-for-12 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds, while McGraw posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmett Dyson, who put up eight points.

Temple Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Shelton, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Temple Christian has already played their next game, a 67-59 loss against Dallas Christian Academy on the 13th. As for Shelton, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against All Saints Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2026.
