            Softball Recap: Roosevelt Bears vs. Trenton Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Roosevelt ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Trenton Trojans  10-9. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bears needed considering they were shut out in their previous   game.
Roosevelt got a big performance out of  Jordan Passuth, who  went 2-for-5 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run.  Devlyn Massengill was another key player,  going a perfect 5-for-5 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Roosevelt  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .578. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trenton only posted  an  OBP of  .359.

Roosevelt's win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 17-8. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Trenton,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 12-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will take on Pinckney in a tournament  on Saturday. As for Trenton, they will venture away from home to  take on Taylor  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
