Volleyball Recap: Lancaster Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Lancaster came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Westmoreland Eagles by a score of 3-1. The Red Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Lancaster had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-19.

Lancaster found their leader in sophomore Addison George, who had 27 digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for George.

Lancaster was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matchups.

Lancaster's record is now 11-4. As for Westmoreland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lancaster will square off against rival Rappahannock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Westmoreland is set to challenge their familiar foe Northumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
